How Does The Countdown to '21 Challenge Work?
The following activities are all proven to help people lose weight in a healthy way
You don't have to do them all, but the more you include the more successful you're likely to be, in the shortest time
You get 1 stamp for each activity, every day you complete it
Collect at least 121 stamps, before the end of 2020, to lose those pounds and gain your medal
Stay within calories for the day
Get a stamp for each day - the more you get, the more you'll lose
Burn extra calories
One stamp for each day you do 20+ mins cardio (brisk walking counts) try for 5, or more!
Record your weight loss
A stamp for each time you record a loss of at least ½lb or ¼kg, weigh-in often to get more stamps 😉
The easy way to eat less calories
Fruit and veg is almost all low calorie, eat 5 portions in a day to get your stamp
Fire up your muscles
Stength exercise builds muscle - which burns extra cals and improves shape, 15+ mins for a stamp
Record your inch loss
Record at least ½inch or 1cm loss, 1 stamp for each day inch loss is recorded, get your measurements in!
Alcohol free day
Alcohol has loads of calories, so if you drink less you can eat more, try at least a few days a week
High protein day
Protein preserves lean mass when you're losing weight, get 20% of cals from protein for a stamp
High fibre day
Fabulous fibre fills you up for longer and is good for gut bacteria, 24g in a day gets you a stamp
Make a Note
Noting stuff gives you insight on how things affect progress, 1 note in a day gets you a stamp
Record a size drop
Get a stamp when you record a drop in size, you should get at least one during this challenge
Give and get support ...
... and a stamp for sharing your thoughts, or answering someone, on the challenge board
Your challenge icon keeps a tally of how many stamps you've achieved so far
121 is the number of stamps you need to qualify for your medal
Keep going to see how many stamps you can gain, and pounds you can lose, by 31 Dec
