Mackerel Pate Recipe

A little bit of a change from classic pate, this recipe can be used with either mackerel of smoked salmon. A great thing to whip up if you want to change up your sandwiches! Don’t forget to add the extra calories if you used the pate in a sandwich though!

Ingredients
- 50g smoked mackerel fillets
- 100g low fat cream cheese
- 15ml fresh lemon juice
- 3g garlic

Method
- Flake the mackerel fillets.
- Put into a bowl with the other ingredients and beat together with a spoon, or an electric whisk, till smooth.
- Cover and chill.
Variations: swap the mackerel for smoked or tinned salmon.
