Dry Roast Potatoes Recipe

A must have edition to any roast dinner; these low calorie roast potatoes will keep the family happy. Serve with any meal and some thick gravy if that’s how you like them!

  • ½ tsp salt

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C / Gas Mark 6 / 400°F

  1. Peel the potatoes.
  2. Boil salted water in saucepan for blanching.
  3. Plunge peeled potatoes into salted boiling water, bring back to the boil.
  4. Drain well and scratch the surface of potato with a fork and sprinkle lightly with salt.
  5. Place potatoes on a non-stick baking tray and cook in hottest part of the oven for 1 hour.
