Zesty Mango Sorbet

Make your own mango sorbet at home with these 4 simple ingredients. Perfect to cool down on a summers day!

  • 250ml water
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 2 mangoes
  • ½ lime, juiced


  1. Place the water and sugar into a saucepan and bring to the boil, stir occasionally until all the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool.
  2. Peel and cut the mangoes into chunks, place into a blender and blitz until a smooth puree is formed. Add a splash of the sugar syrup to help blend if necessary.
  3. Place the pureed mango in a bowl and whisk in the sugar syrup and lime juice. Transfer to a freezer proof container.
  4. Place in the freezer for 1 hour, then re-blend or mix up thoroughly with a fork to break up ice crystals. Freeze again for another hour, then mix up again. Place back in the freezer now for one more hour before serving.

*If you need to freeze for a long time place in the fridge for half hour before serving to help it soften.
