Brownies Chocolate Recipe

Who would have thought that chocolate brownies could be low calorie? Treat yourself every once in a while to your favourite dessert and enjoy! Serve with ice cream or low fat cream, if you have the calories spare!.

- 125g butter
- 84g plain dark chocolate
- 300g white sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 150g white flour
- ¾ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 180°C / Gas Mark 4 / 350°F
Melt butter and chocolate together - this can be done in the microwave with a microwave proof bowl.
To the melted ingredients add sugar and stir well.
Add unbeaten eggs one at a time, mixing to be well incorporated then beat in vanilla.
Sieve flour, baking powder and salt into mixture, combine well.
Pour into a greased brownie tin 9 x 13 and cook for 40 minutes.
