A fantastically simple Dhal Recipe!. It is low calorie and provides plenty of Protein not to mention that its so quick and easy to prepare and cook. It’s a nice and warming recipe and packed full of goodies too.

Ingredients

  • 150g Lentils, Red, Dried, Average
  • 284.15ml Water, Mineral Or Tap
  • ½ Med/90g Onions, Raw, Average
  • 6g Garlic, Raw, Average
  • 150g Tomatoes, Tinned, Morrisons
  • 1g Curry Powder, Average
  • 2 Tsps/10g Bouillon, Powder, Swiss Vegetable, Green Tub, Marigold

Method

Roughly chop the onion & crush the garlic.

Put lentils in saucepan with water, onion, garlic and bouillon powder. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and curry powder and simmer for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add a bit more water if the mixture gets too thick.
