This smoothie bowl is a real indulgence. Can be suitable for vegans using a non-dairy milk - we recommend almond milk for extra nutty flavour!

  • 1 apple
  • ½ sm banana
  • 100ml semi-skimmed milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • 25g rolled oats
  • 2 tsp peanut butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsbp flaked almonds
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg


  1. Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core (leaving the skin on), slice off 2-3 thin Slices from one quarter and set aside. Chop into 1" chunks. Slice the banana.
  2. Add the milk, oats, banana, peanut butter, vanilla extract, 1 tsp of the syrup, and cinnamon to a blender and blend until smooth. Add a handful of ice and blend again.
  3. Transfer the smoothie to a bowl, lay the apple slices on top, drizzle with 1 tsp syrup and sprinkle over the almonds, a pinch of nutmeg (and a little more cinnamon if you like).

This smoothie can easily be suitable for vegans using a non-dairy milk alternative - we suggest Almond Milk for this one :)
