Supersize vs Superskinny is back!
by WLR Staff, Adam Vaughan
The popular eating disorders documentary on Channel 4 is now in its 7th Series!
Hosted by TV’s favourite doctor, Dr Christian Jessen, the programme’s diet clinic takes the participants through a series of diet swaps.
For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, basically, two extreme eaters - one overweight and the other underweight - swap diets in an attempt to change how they view food and eating, and ultimately make lifestyle changes.
Series 7 also features reports on eating disorders, morbid obesity and extreme eating habits.
Like it's fellow show, Secret Eaters, Supersize vs Superskinny seeks to educate us about eating habits.
When is the show aired?
Nomally, you can watch Supersize v superskinny on Channel 4, every Tuesday at 8pm.
Or if you’re out late, it’s repeated on Channel 4 + 1 at 9pm and of course you can catch up on 4oD.
The show has regular repeats, so it's also worth checking out your TV listings.
Currently, you can catch up on the episodes on Youtube or you can see clips on the channel 4 website.
WLR Says
Ultimately, the cheapest, tastiest and most enjoyable way to get all the nutrients we need for good health – and to help us lose weight - is by following a calorie-controlled diet.
Meals can be kept interesting by basing them on a wide range of fresh foods including:
- fruit
- vegetables
- wholegrains
- low-fat dairy products
- protein-rich foods (lean red meat, skinless chicken, fish and eggs)
Alternatively… Don't go on a diet
