Everdine Serves Up Scrummy Dishes You Can Count On
By wlr staff Trudi Purdy
Boasting clean and wholesome gourmet meals, Everdine is the new kid on the block with their food delivery service.
Your meals are created by their Michelin-trained chefs and delivered to your door.
Everdine freeze the meals straight after cooking so there is no need for preservatives and they only use clean ingredients from sustainable sources.
Most of the meals can be popped in the microwave and be ready in less than 10 minutes, making them quick and easy to prepare.
Just so you know, as I wasn’t sure, you pronounce Everdine like this:
Ever as in never ever. Dine as in dining out. I called the company to check and the lady on the other end of the phone thought I was potty!
Sounds good so far.

How does Everdine work?
Everdine only supply main meals to have for lunch, dinner or both. You’ll have to sort out your own breakfast and snacks.
That said, they do offer some daily menu ideas and recipes on their blog that looked interesting.
You could incorporate their meals into one of WLR’s eating plans by just swapping out either the lunch or the dinner and replacing it with an Everdine meal. The Beach Body Diet Plan or the Mediterranean Diet Plan would be ideal.
Each week there is a different menu to help with variety and it’s a great selection. Some meals will be repeated but the choice is yours as to what you select for your pack.
There are normally 33 yummy looking dishes to choose from each time you order. You can choose different meals from the selection or some of the same if you like. You can also see what will be on the menu next week.
Each dish has a very attractive picture with a brief description below it. Under that are images telling you how to reheat it, how long it will take, whether it is a veggie option and if it’s spicy hot.
If you pop along to the Everdine website and go to the menus page there is a brief description of the food on that week's menus. Click on the picture of the food you fancy and a pop up box appears with a more in-depth description, the nutritional info and the ingredients.
Here are the details for some of the dishes on offer and how they stack up calorie-wise.
|Name of Dish||Calories per portion|
|Courgette & Feta Quinoa Cakes||509 cals|
|Cherry & Hoisin Duck with Wilted Greens||491 cals|
|Mediterranean Cod||416 cals|
|Slow Cooked Beef & Beetroot Bourguignon||291 cals|
|Lamb Kofta with Roast Onion Bulgar Wheat||517 cals|
|Mushroom Spaghetti Carbonara||370 cals|
|Cajun Blackened Salmon||493 cals|
What support is offered?
Although Everdine meals are calorie counted for you, it’s not a diet food delivery service in the true sense of the word.
You are ordering clean, gourmet meals for convenience. They are portion controlled, with full nutritional info so could help keep your calorie count under control but, that’s it in a nut shell.
There is a contact form, an email address and a telephone number should you have issues or questions to do with your order.
However, there is a blog with a wealth of information on healthy eating, exercise and all things foodie which is worth a browse. There is also an extensive FAQ page to have a look through.
Can I try before I buy?
Unlike WLR, there isn’t a free trial per se but you can order a 6 meal pack as a trial because you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Will Everdine work for me?
As part of your eating plan, because you know the calories in each dish, Everdine meals could help you lose weight. Essentially, it’s a posh nosh, ready meal delivery service and you could get similar results using any ready meal as part of a calorie controlled eating plan.
If you are looking for clean eating, calorie-controlled meals with no preservatives and good quality ingredients, Everdine might be the way forward for you.

I tried a 6 meal pack from Everdine and the food was delicious and filling. Easy to prepare, I liked the convenience of having a really nice meal ready and on the table in under 10 minutes. I didn’t try any of the meals that need to go in the oven instead of the microwave though.
For me, it would be too expensive to have an Everdine meal every night, as lovely as they are.
I think I would be more inclined to incorporate a few meals each week into my own eating plan. Or, use a few of them as substitutes for one of my favourite WLR eating plans to mix it up a bit.
They were tasty, they were convenient and they are calorie counted, so it depends on your budget as to whether Everdine is for you.
