By WLR's Food Information Executive, Laurence Beeken
A deliciously lean version of an Italian classic, our healthy Bolognese recipe substitutes beef for turkey, helping you to stick to your diet.
Taken from our ’Diet on a Budget’ meal plan, which provides info and recipes to help you diet without spending a fortune, our Bolognese sauce recipe makes 2 portions at 210 calories each.
Ingredients
- 100g Turkey Mince
- 2 Qty reserved Tomato Sauce (reserved from Day 4 Dinner)
- 110g Dry Spaghetti
Method:
- Dry fry the turkey mince and stir in the leftover tomato sauce from Day 4 Dinner.
Notes:
Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions and top up with the sauce (see notes below).
Once cooked, divide the Bolognese sauce into 2 portions, one for now, and one portion for use in The Budget Diet Plan - Week 1, Day 6 Lunch.
