It can be easy to get stuck in a bit of a rut with the same old meals.  Eating the same thing day in, day out can get boring and you end up eating far more than you should just for a bit of variety.

About our Easy Meal Ideas

Our new online meal ideas feature gives you ideas and suggestions to help you plan for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. It gives you control over the number of calories in your meal and is organised so that you can see recipes based on how much effort they take to make.

You’ll find the recipe ideas perfect for those times when you need a bit of guidance or just need a healthy, low calorie meal at short notice.

This great feature is available on both the online desktop website and our easy to use mobile website – which means that you’ll always have access to simple easy to cook meals wherever you are.

Take the effort of trying to find a low calorie meal idea to fit in with your weight loss plans – we’ve done all the hard work for you and counted the calories.

How to Get Low Calorie Meal Ideas

The meal planner is accessed through the Food Diary tab from your homepage.  Simply click and go to the Food Ideas section and click on Meal Ideas.

You’ll then see a list of available meals broken down into their level of preparation:

  • Pre-packed
  • Easy ‘make anywhere’ Meals
  • Quick Meals – no cooker
  • Simple and Easy cooking
  • Cooking from Scratch

You just need to select your meal from the options (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks) and set the number of calories that you would like, either with the slider or by input directly into the calories field.

You’ll be given a number of alternatives, and if you don’t fancy any of them, you just need to click on the ‘more’ button and you’ll get all of the alternatives.

Just pick the one that you would like and click on ‘Add to Diary’, it’s as easy as that!  You can then add your meal to a plan for the day and create a shopping list, so you can make sure you’ve got everything in that you need.
