We've put together some cracking tips to help you on the Holiday Countdown Challenge. Follow these alongside the diet and exercise plan and you’re sure to get in shape and lose weight in time for your holiday.
Tip 1
Simply follow the exercise and diet plan – stick with it and it’s guaranteed to work! If you don’t like some of the suggestions, choose a meal option from one of the other days. It’s also fine to opt for shop-bought sandwiches, salads, wraps or ready meals if you don’t fancy making a meal – allow around 250 calories for breakfast, 350 calories for lunch and 450 calories for dinner.
Tip 2
As well as your meals, have 275ml skimmed milk every day to drink on its own or in tea/coffee etc. Alternatively, use it to make a refreshing iced coffee or blend it with some of the fruit in the diet to make a summer shake.
Tip 3
Begin each day with a fat-free probiotic drink such as Yakult Light or Actimel 0%. They’ll top up levels of good bacteria to keep your digestive system healthy so you’re less likely to suffer with bloating – and may even help to protect against tummy upsets whilst you’re on holiday.
Tip 4
Choose snacks every day to make your calories up to 1300 for women and 1600 for men.
Tip 5
Drink loads of water (at least six to eight glasses a day) – as well as helping your skin look great, it’ll help fill you up
