Hi,
Recent press coverage has reinforced the WLR key principle of keeping a food diary following a new study from America. WLR Dietician, Lyndel Costain BSc RD talks us through how keeping a food diary is a major tool when it comes to weight loss success.

We are all guilty of over-indulging at the weekend. WLR Dietician, Juliette Kellow points out how it can affect our weight loss results and how to beat the weekend binge. She gives us some fab ideas for good weekend eating and activities we can do with some great meal options to keep up the hard work we have put in during the week.

Body Fat: Distribution, Reduction and Ideal
Bodyfat is explained by Lyndel Costain BSc RD to give us a better understanding of what is normal and healthy and what isn’t.

Nicola Not ‘Faint’ Hearted
Fainting on a train station platform was the motivation Nicola needed to change her lifestyle and follow a sensible balanced diet instead of the latest fad diet, using the WLR food diary to show her what she could and couldn’t eat. Her reward for all her calorie counting was a fantastic 5 stone loss and a new job!

Competition Time
Last month we featured some amazing recipes to use up leftovers. Now it’s your turn. Whether it’s a recipe passed down in the family that your mum used to cook or one that you have devised yourself, we want to see it. The 10 best recipes will be cooked and photographed for the WLR recipe database and the winners will get an elegant kitchen wall scale worth £19.99 for their efforts.

Tried and Tasted

The WLR Tried and Tasted team left no stone unturned this time searching for the best and tastiest low calorie pasta salads.

Food in Season
The stable and sturdy potato takes front stage this month with salmon, gooseberries and crab doing a sterling job in the chorus line.
