Hi,

If you’re anything like us here in the WLR office, you get through a large number of sandwiches in a year but how many do you really enjoy? Since it’s British Sandwich Week (May 14 – 20th) we think it’s time to make a stand against second rate sarnies – and we’d like your creative input. Send us the recipe for your best sarnie for under 350 calories, and you could win one of our Baker’s Dozen Prizes in the WLR What’s In Your Sandwich? Competition

If you’re short of ideas have a nibble at Juliette’s Use Your Loaf ideas, or if you don’t have time to make your own, find out what Jon and the Taste Team think about some sarnies from the major brands

Hope you enjoy, Pat

Love Your Heart
Loving your heart doesn’t mean surviving on a diet that’s completely fat free. In fact, it couldn’t be easier or tastier to keep your heart in tip top shape – and lose those excess pounds at the same time. Weight Loss Resources Dietitian Juliette Kellow reveals all...

The Magic of Having a Goal
Mary’s goal to complete a trek in Nepal for Breast Cancer Care gave her the motivation to lose 1 stone and 10lbs whilst Emma wanted to get fitter and healthier to complete sports events with her friends and be able to keep up!

Diet Bytes
Juliette’s news roundup for May includes the latest findings on omega-3 fats and whether they are as healthy in your diet as previously claimed; news on kick starting your exercise programme by signing up for a charity fitness event; studies showing how couple’s eating habits change after they begin living together; finding a workout that works for you; and, research showing the correlation between a child’s weight and the amount of hours they sleep.

Got the Walking Bug?
Hope you will have all started to enjoy more walking in your daily routines with the (sometimes) lighter, brighter weather. John has compiled more walking events running throughout the month of May and you still have time to join in with the Walk the Weight Off Challenge and get fitter and trimmer for the summer ahead.

Su Doku
Jon tests your brain power with another one of our popular puzzles.
