Hi,

Any diet book that knocks Harry Potter off the top of the best-seller list has to be worth finding out more about. Our guest dietitian, Lyndel Costain goes down-under to see what all the fuss is about. Here’s her review of the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet. We’re making bets in the office on whether this book will top the UK best sellers in January. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this issue of DFM.

Best wishes, Pat

Losing It

This month we feature three bright and bubbly women who have lost 11st 6lb between them – here’s how they did it:

Diane who’s 36 and has lost 6st 2lbs says ‘I love to go on holiday now and am delighted to wear anything I want in size 8-10!

Dina who’s 39 and has lost 3st 4lbs says ‘I will turn 40 in January, and at the start of 2005 I vowed I would never be fat after 40!

Leigh who’s 21 and has lost 1st 12lbs says ‘The best thing is not to view it as a diet. Small changes soon add up to big changes and you soon don’t even notice.

Keep Your Mind Healthy

John looks at recent studies that show exercising both mind and body can reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s. And Jon’s come up with a new Su doku and jigsaw for a bit of exercise.
