Here are a few guidelines to steer you in the right direction… 


Helpful Hints

  • Meze are a good choice. Lots of small dishes to pick at, choosing what you want to eat. Many are healthy options… houmous, olives, tsatziki, taramasalata…
  • Greek restaurants can produce wonderful salads - go for it!
  • Fish dishes are a speciality - go for grilled or baked fish
  • Lamb and chicken shish kebabs contain less fat than a doner kebab 

Avoid

  • Be careful you can be swamped with courses
  • A meze is often sufficient
  • Main dishes can be a very rich and very filling - think calories!
