Eating Out – Down the Chippy!

 

Here are a few guidelines to steer you in the right direction… 


Helpful Hints -

First and foremost 'Don't Do It' - everything is deep fat fried!

  • Order a small portion of chips 
  • Remove the batter from the fish
  • Add a portion of mushy peas (remember your 5 fruit & veg a day quota!) and a bread roll (no butter)
  • Remember the thicker the chip, the less fat it absorbs during cooking

Avoid

  • Pies - the pastry contains high quantities of fat
