Eating Out – Down the Chippy!
Here are a few guidelines to steer you in
the right direction…
Helpful Hints -
First and
foremost 'Don't Do It' - everything is deep fat fried!
- Order a small
portion of chips
- Remove
the batter from the fish
- Add a portion
of mushy peas (remember your 5 fruit & veg a day
quota!) and a bread roll (no butter)
- Remember the
thicker the chip, the less fat it absorbs during cooking
Avoid
- Pies - the pastry contains high quantities of fat
