Low calorie and low fat diets can be hard to swallow when it comes to taste. We put healthy snacks and low fat meals to the test


As well as tasting our low fat meals and snacks, we compare fat and calorie content. Does low fat always mean low calorie? Or do brands marketed as healthy snack and meals replace fat with sugar - which can be just as bad for diet and health.

Our panel of six men and women take their food tasting duties very seriously! And they don't know what brands of low fat meals they have been eating until after the test and results. They get together twice a month to taste and discuss the merits of the 6-8 meals or healthy snacks in the test.

If you buy healthy eating, low fat, low calorie, or diet recipe brands the articles give an honest (sometimes brutally) assessment of the best, and the worst.
