Overview
This is a varied role, involving researching, communicating, organising and administrating across the marketing spectrum from PR to SEO. We’re looking for a great organiser with excellent communication skills, the ability to handle varied tasks under pressure, and the motivation/intelligence to learn. Some experience of working within a marketing environment is preferred, though we will consider candidates who have experience in other administrative roles. An interest in health, fitness and online/offline media would be an advantage.
Job Description
Purpose of Job
To provide high quality, timely, administrative and organisational support to the marketing management team in the areas of research, communications, reporting and resourcing.
Responsibilities
- Organising, maintaining and updating marketing filing systems, contact lists, calendars, schedules and diaries
- Taking notes and producing appropriate documentation (e.g. minutes, action lists, schedules) for marketing project meetings
- Compiling and producing a variety of marketing/sales reports for use internally and/or externally
- Handling communications with partners, customers and potential customers on special projects in conjunction with the project’s manager
- Researching and reporting on partnership/marketing opportunities, competitors and other areas of interest to the marketing team.
- Researching costs and compiling budget estimates for marketing projects
- Preparing presentation/publicity material and compiling/sending marketing/PR materials
- Researching, reporting on and communicating with suppliers for health and fitness products and marketing materials
- Organising for and attending external conferences, meetings and exhibitions
Essential Skills and Qualities Needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and administration skills
- Ability to produce good quality, accurate documents using Microsoft Word and Excel, including tables, graphs and charts
- Ability to carry out in-depth research on the internet and distinguish between reliable/unreliable information/sources
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks, across multiple projects whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Ability to handle pressure without quality/quantity of work being adversely affected
- Ability to contribute positively, thoughtfully, and confidently in team meetings and in discussions with other staff
Training and Development
Training will be provided in the areas necessary for fulfilling this job role. We are a small, fast-growing company so, depending on skills, aptitudes, interests and performance there will be opportunities to develop into more specialist/senior areas of marketing.
Working Hours & Pay
This is a full time position, normally a 37.5 hour week/7.5 hour day starting between 8am and 10am and ending between 4pm and 6pm. On rare occasions it may be necessary to start earlier or work later than these times.
Starting salary will be £12-15,000pa, depending on your skills and experience, with a review after 6 months.
Annual leave will be 20 days plus normal UK public holidays.
