Cheesy Broccoli

Ingredients

500g Broccoli

25g Reduced Fat Butter

250ml Semi Skimmed Milk

25g Plain Flour

50g Fresh Wholemeal Breadcrumbs

100g Half Fat Mature Cheese, Grated

Method

  1. Prepare broccoli and place in boiling water cooking until tender.
  2. Drain and place in an ovenproof dish.
  3. Put flour, milk and butter in a pan and bring to the boil, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
  4. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes, whisking all the time.
  5. Stir in the grated cheese and season with a little salt and pepper.
  6. Pour the sauce over the broccoli and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Grill until the top is golden.
