Ingredients

2½oz/70g Chocolate, Dark, Plain, Average

2oz/56g Cream, Light & Thick, 4% Fat, Flora*

2 Med Egg/100g Eggs, Free Range, Medium, Average

1 Slice/36g Bread, White, Medium Sliced, Value, Tesco*

2oz/56g Sugar, Caster, Average

2oz/56g Almonds, Ground, Average

Method

  1. Melt chocolate in bowl over simmering water.
  2. Cream together marg and sugar.
  3. Put bread in a blender to create breadcrumbs.
  4. Add melted chocolate, ground almonds, breadcrumbs and egg yolks to marg and sugar.
  5. Whisk egg whites until stiff.
  6. Fold in egg whites.
  7. Put mixture in greased tin.
  8. Place in oven at 180oC for about 40 minutes.
