Running Route Sites
I don’t know about you, but it’s good to know how far you
have run or plan a route with a given distance, especially if
you are trying to train for something specific like the
Race for
Life.
If you do not own the latest
Polar gadget to measure your distance then the next best
thing is to use one of the route planning sites. Some of them
even tell you whether you will be running on tarmac, grassy
verges or concrete roads. Here are a few…

Child Gamers
Although this is an older article I thought it was quite
interesting in the light of all the news on child obesity. A
machine which connects to computer games has been developed to
get children to work out whilst playing the game. The Step2Play
step exercise machine directly links to the computer games
console. Read here for more information.

High Tech Exercise?
Graumann, a fitness director with Motivatrix, has shown off
the MX9 Workout Master, this purports to be the latest
technology for the gym of the future.
The MX9 is similar to ‘Dance Dance Revolution’, which is a
popular video game where a user tries to copy dance steps shown
on a screen. The difference is that the MX9 involves a user's
whole body rather than just foot movements.
The machine monitors the user’s performance and measures
calories burned. It also features different kinds of games and
exercises, combined with great graphics and choices of music.
See here for the full article, let’s hope we get them in the UK…
