Using Weight Loss Resources has stopped Gemma's cycle of crash dieting and unhealthy eating.
Dieting History
I hadn’t really tried any specific diet in the past I just used to presume that crash dieting was the way forward. I crash dieted in the week and then really binged out at the weekend and feel rubbish for the rest of the week while I was trying to starve my self again.
Have you Lost Weight Before and Regained the Weight?
Always with the crash dieting but my main gain however was when I fell pregnant at the age of 17. If eating for 2 was the saying then that meant I was pregnant with octuplets!
I put on 2 and a half stone in 9 months. I managed to lose this (by the fact I couldn’t drive and had to walk absolutely everywhere) for about 2 years and then was put on medication for my bad PMT. This medication gave me the attitude of not really caring about anything, including what I put in my mouth which therefore caused me to put all the weight back on again.
How Being Overweight has Affected you…
My weight over the past 7½ years has stopped me being as confident as maybe I should be and it also has stopped me from wearing the clothes that I want to wear.
Motivation to Diet
Clothes really. I am a clothes and shoe freak and really love shopping.
It was not until I started this website that I started caring about my health, but I am actually now interested in studying to become a dietitian.
Discovering Weight Loss Resources
Depressed about my weight again one day and thought right if I start a food diary at least I can see what I actually am putting in my mouth.
I typed in ‘Food Diary’ in the search engine on the internet and up came Weight Loss Resources. I browsed the website for a couple of minutes and it only took that long to realise that this was the key to me loosing weight.
I signed up for the 3-day free trial and was addicted. After 2 days I signed up to the subscription and have not looked back.
How Weight Loss Resources Helps
My health is the main change I have noticed as the website calculates the amount of fruit and veg that you are consuming on a daily basis. My average is around 8-10. I never realised there was so many types of vegetables out there. I used to suffer from eczema on my neck and since joining WLR have not had an outburst.
I am now the lightest I have been in 7 years and I feel great. My clothes are really loose so perfect time for shopping!!
Although I don’t post as much as other people do, I find reading the posts really helpful as you realise that you are not the only one who sometimes feels down and consumes ½ of their weekly calories in one meal!!
The Best of Weight Loss Resources
The food diary is my main port of call. I find the fact that it has nearly every food from every shop on the database really useful and also the fact that it calculates all the nutrition for each food for you is so convenient. I also get a bit of a buzz when I find a food that is not registered on the database so that I can add this myself knowing that I am helping others on the site.
Gemma's Dieting Tips
EAT & DRINK MORE. That is my main piece of advice. I never feel hungry anymore because I am eating all the right foods and you can eat so much in one day if you make the right choices. Water is also great. The more you drink the more weight you lose due to your body not being dehydrated.
I would say give the free trial a go and if you still think that you would not have enough time to enter what you eat every day then you are wrong. It takes 5 minutes and once all your ‘favourite’ foods are added into the system it doesn’t even take that long.
If it was not for this website I would still be crash dieting and eating very unhealthily but now I have never been healthier and now enjoy the healthier option compared to the alternative
