Chocolate Torte, Chunky Chips, Classic Burgers and Egg Fried
Rice – they’re not the types of dishes most of us would think of
eating for a healthy heart. But these are just a few of the
offerings in Healthy Eating for Lower Cholesterol (Kyle Cathie
Ltd, £12.99).
Written by Chef Daniel Green and dietician Catherine Collins
– and published in association with H.E.A.R.T UK, the
Cholesterol Charity, this book is packed with simple, yet
comprehensive information about how to lower cholesterol.
It explains the link between high cholesterol and heart
disease, different types of cholesterol, what your cholesterol
levels should be and how smoking and being overweight, amongst
many other conditions, affect cholesterol levels.
You’ll also find out detailed information about foods to eat
to lower cholesterol and foods to avoid which are high in
cholesterol. There are more than 100 heart healthy, delicious
recipes to choose from, which are all calories and fat counted.
Find it in bookshops from 11 January.
